Information itself doesn’t really help people.
The transformation that happens because of information helps people.
There’s a slight distinction there that’s really important.
Is your business simply providing information, or is it creating transformation for a customer?
Are you helping them get from
point a to point b, or are you simply telling them?
There's more information available to your customers at the tip of their fingers than they could ever consume... so if you're still thinking 'information' is what people want, you're going to be spinning your wheels in frustration trying to gain traction.
Focus more on their end result and how you help them get there---the transformation that your product or service gives them---and
you'll find people are more than happy to buy from you or use your services.
So, even things like a free consultation or free strategy call need to focus on a 'mini-transformation' where they get an immediate result after their session.
This could be a clear plan of attack or a key decision being made.
Whatever it is, though, it needs to be more than just information.
So ask yourself, 'am
I giving out information... or transformation?'
And remember, no one wants information. They want the transformation information gives them.
